The headquarters.
Created with architecture firm, Sleth, this project has been five years in the making. A mass of glass, steel, concrete, and Nordic pine. A spaceship of focus perched on the hills surrounding Denmark’s second largest city: Aarhus. Rains’ headquarters is a reflection of both its history and ambition.

Materials and Innovation
Our starting point to product sustainability is found in safety and durability, by developing products that are safe to wear for people and, in the long run, have less impact on the planet. Rains has specifically chosen PU-coating as its signature, as it is significantly more environmentally friendly than its hormone disrupting alternatives: PVC and DWR-PFC.
Environmental Protection
With a holistic approach to sustainability, we aim to make responsible choices in every part of our business, including the way we design and operate our stores and offices, as well as how we move our products around the globe.
Longevity
Longevity has shown to be one of the most influential parameters for improving environmental impacts. In other words: the longer a raincoat lasts, the smaller its annual environmental impact will be. In this case, product care and maintenance are essential aspects of Rains sustainability initiatives.

We are committed to setting high ethical standards in production and ensuring mindful manufacturing through audits, training and education. Our commitment is stamped by amfori BSCI membership and a commitment to implementing the UN’s universal, international minimum standards for responsible business behaviors.
