After 14 years making weatherproof city wear, our first footwear collection is here. These rainproof designs took years to perfect. Each piece features a curved, flowing silhouette. A grid-like grip sole built for wet and dry city streets. More rebound than your traditional rain boot. A fit that feels secure. It’s the next step for rainwear. See how it came to be.

Sketch to reality.

It starts with a line on paper. A curve, a cut, a sole pattern taped to a desk. Samples moving around the Rains HQ. Months later, the test becomes the real thing. We created the streamlined shape of this boot with footwear designer Martin Sallières, using weather maps, the meniscus shape of water, and New York’s grids as part of the inspiration.

That’s the Rains waterproof formula. It started with coats, now it’s applied to footwear. Because a rain boot shouldn’t ruin your outfit. The Dry Boot was our first design, the rest of the line followed. Inspired by the classic Chelsea, it’s the antidote to flat boots with unnecessary bulk.
